August 2008 Wild Celery Treatment

On Wednesday, August 20th 2008, the Main Lakes will be treated for Wild Celery (Vallisneria) in the areas indicated on the map attached to this posting. The copper based herbicide used carries a 1 day swimming restriction following date of treatment. As beaches are not being treated, the herbicide used does not drift, and only isolated zones are receiving an application, interference to recreation should be very minimal. Please contact us if you have any questions what so ever. Thanks and enjoy the best months of the summer season. Your Lake Manager, Joel Steenstra
