Main Lakes Wild Celery Treatment Map 2009

Wild Celery is beginning to send up its seasonal nuisance "curly q" reproductive shoot. The attached map shows planned treatment zones for August of 2009. The date of the treatment is yet to be announced by Aquatic Nuisance Control but will hopefully be in the next few days to a week. Look for the yellow signs if you live near a treatment area. I will send out an email notice when I get a confirmed treatment date. The copper based herbicide used carries no EPA or MIDEQ water use restrictions, but a 24 hour swimming restriction will be posted. Please call 616-245-3818 or email mail@summitlaboratory.com with any questions. Joel Steenstra
