2011 Nuisance Aquatic Vegetation Tretment

Weather permitting, the Main Lakes Chain will be treated with contact herbicides (see posting) Monday June 20, 2011. Again weather permitting, Lake Laura, Fawn Lake, Sunset Lake, and the Lake of the Clouds Chain (Ranger, LOC, Lost), will be treated in the same manner on Tuesday June 21, 2011. This treatment strategy has been in place for numerous years. The only real change each season is location and time of treatment. The maps below show both treated and intentionally untreated areas of the lakes. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or review prior blog postings on this subject. Smaller systems such as Kitt Lake, Rush Lake, and Camper Lake will likely be receiving spot treatments that will be determined as the season unfolds.

For 2012, East Canadian Lake is heavy with weed growth as of May 27,2012 - especially in front of 10740 East Royal Road. Jerry Springer

This is totally unacceptable. East Canadian Lake is like a swamp. Our lake needs treatment of the entire lake, not just shorelines and we shouldn't have to wait until June 19 or 20. Weeds are horrible in front of 10780 as well.

I am getting very frustrated with paying maintenance fees, boat fees, etc. and not getting proper maintenance.
