June 2015 General Aquatic Nuisance Contact Herbicide Treatment Maps

As has been the case for more than 20 years now, in mid June, the majority of the Canadian Lakes P.O.C. water bodies will be treated to reduce aquatic plant nuisances. The treatments will begin June 16th on the Main Lakes chain of lakes and continue through the 17th. The Maps below depict the lakes that will be included and the exact locations that will receive treatment. Smaller lakes (Rush and Kitt) will be treated during this event if time allows. If there is not sufficient time, I will post the treatment date here when the applicator commits to a date. If there are any questions, please contact Joel Steenstra @ 616-245-3818 or mail@summitlaboratory.com. It will take up to two weeks for the plants to completely fall out of the water column, especially in wind sheltered bays and ponds. Please refer to postings for any water use restrictions. Again, don't hesitate to call or email with any questions or concerns.
